What schools are looking to hire behavioral economists?

Anonymous said...

I applied to Gettysburg, Pomona, and Iowa State. No hits so far from any of them.

Anonymous said...

Anyone hear from Haverford?

Anonymous said...

Has anyone heard from Caltech?

Anonymous said...

I think that Iowa State have cancelled their search for a Behavioral / Game Theorist.

Has anybody heard from the Stanford SIEPR post-doc?

Anonymous said...

What other post-docs are out there?

Anonymous said...

There's a UCSD postdoc

Anonymous said...

I know a couple with people with interviews for the SIEPR postdoc

Anonymous said...

I heard that Caltech moved.

Anonymous said...

9:13, by moved do you mean hired someone or started to schedule interviews. I think the scheduling process happens in stages at most places.

Anonymous said...

One of my friends got an interview with Caltech.

Did anyone got a call from U of MD?

Anonymous said...

And Georgetown?

Anonymous said...

A friend of mine got a call from MD.

I actually got an interview from the strategy group at Georgetown B School. Has anyone else heard from them - I checked out their webpage and didn't really notice many people doing traditional IO work, so while its a great school, I am not sure what to make of the position.

Anonymous said...

I know Pomona made calls

Anonymous said...

got an interview from georgetown strategy too.... maybe (hopefully) they actually want an io person this year

Anonymous said...

hopefully they want multiple IO people...

Who are the people applying to the Stanford SIEPR post-doc?

Folks who apply to other faculty jobs and wouldn't mind doing a post-doc before, or people who aren't ready for the job market yet but would like to get out of their Phd?

Anonymous said...

I am interviewing for the SIEPR post-doc and have several good assistant professor interviews as well. I figure I'd get an additional two years of writing done before the tenure clock starts. (btw, the SIEPR specs are great!)

Happy Holidays,

Either me or a friend of mine have applied to the following non-US universities and they have not gotten back. Yet? For some of them, it hasn't been completely clear whether they are going to interview at ASSA; there have been others (not in the list) which have sent me an e-mail saying that they are not interviewing at the ASSA. So, have anyone heard from any of the schools below? Thanks!
BOCCONI UNIVERSITY
UNIVERSITY OF MANNHEIM
CERGE
UNIVERSITY OF COPENHAGEN
ITAM, Business
UNIVERSIDADE NOVA DE LISBOA
KOC UNIVERSITY
SABANCI UNIVERSITY
CENTRAL EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY, Budapest
Ecole Polytechnique
UBonn
Collegio Carlo Alberto

Anonymous said...

Sabanci has started calling during the Christmas break

Anonymous said...

I heard from Sabanci late last week. Also, ITAM called me long back, but that was their econ dept. Is their business dept separate?
I am waiting quite eagerly for Bocconi.

Anonymous said...

Is there anyone got a call from National University of Singapore?

Anonymous said...

I did

Anonymous said...

Anyone who applied to or got an interview from Yale SOM (e.g. Dec 19, 2.01pm):

1. How did you find out about the position (I didn't see a JOE ad). Was it solicited?
2. What field are you in?

Danke.

Anonymous said...

7:44 am... When did you get?

Anonymous said...

I have seen only ITAM business in JOE; I can't find ITAM econ there (have you found econ ad somewhere else?). So, I don't know whether they are separate...

Anonymous said...

@9:55 am - I got a call for the only position ITAM announced..

Anonymous said...

Anyone hear from Beloit yet? They said they'd make calls by the 28th.

Anonymous said...

Beloit has made calls

Anonymous said...

Dec 27, 8 am. I found the listing for Yale SOM on their website. I also received a solicitation email from one of their faculty (this was after I had found out about the ad).

I do work in Empirical IO and Strategy.
